Building Phase 2 of Our Iconic New Home
Salaam Centre Rises Upwards
|

You may have noticed now some marked changes taking place at the site of the exciting new Salaam Centre.
Our new main contractor, TNV Construction Ltd, commenced work in October. They have busied themselves preparing the site and working with all partners, including the award-winning architects for this project, MYYA Architects.
Now, behind the new hoardings, the Salaam Centre is starting to make a visual presence as the new structure goes up on top of the vast basement floors already built.

The Salaam Centre will:

- Nourish your soul: Through established spiritual services and inspirational design
- Feed your mind: In a modern lecture theatre, library and seminar rooms
- Nurture communities: In a welcoming youth centre, dedicated children's block and large sports hall.
Beautiful, eco-friendly, state-of-the-art: it will, inshallah, be a welcoming institution for all.

We now need to urgently raise £1.8m to complete phase 2.
We have raised approximately £3.4 million already, we have pledges of £0.8m for the period ending December 2023. We now need your help and hope that you will be able to help contribute to reaching our £6m target.
Please contribute whatever you can, no amount is too small - £25,000, £10,000, even £5,000 or £1,000.

Developing work streams
Serving our community

Soul Kitchen
We are honoured to host Soul Kitchen - a foodbank that we have set up at Mahfil Ali - serving over 140 boxes of food EVERY WEEK. The need is phenomenal.
|
|
|
Since bringing our community together in Ramadan after the Covid-19 pandemic had pulled us apart, we have had a great deal of enthusiasm to rebuild our community!
Now we're developing workstreams to serve all members of our community.
This amazing work includes:
- Monthly children's programmes, complementing our weekly madrasah
- Events organised and run by an active Youth committee
- Sessions for families parents and children, along with regular sports events
